South African researchers can now start to plan their participation in the ICT Work Programme of the EU Horizon 2020 Programme for Research and Innovation.
Horizon 2020 is the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. ICT underpins innovation and competitiveness across a broad range of private and public markets and sectors.
Preparation for the next ICT Work Programme, covering the three years from 2018 to 2020, is currently underway.
The draft Work Programme 2018-2020 for Information and Communications Technologies was recently published by the EU.
- This draft is made public before the adoption of the work programme 2018-2020 to provide potential participants with the currently expected main lines of this work programme. Only the adopted work programme will have legal value.
- South African organisations are eligible for funding under the EU’s H2020 Framework Programme.
